An official announcement by Bridgepoint Education has confirmed the appointment of Umang Jain as the Chief Technology Officer. His main role will be around providing technology vision and leadership in the implementation and development of the Company’s IT Program as it continues to move forwards towards education technology services. He reports to Andrew Clark who is known to be the CEO.
Jain is known for his contribution in Hill Physician Medical Group as the CIO of the company. By leading its Virtual Care Program, he implemented Workday for finance and HRfunctions, modernized its data and data integration data infrastructure. In fact, as a CIO he contributed immensely in the digital transformation of the company. For almost a decade he worked at Blue Shield of California and held several positions with increasing responsibility. Deloitte Consulting and its technology integration practice is also something which he has been a part of. Bright Start an angel investment group which has been founded by him.It funds and mentors early age start-ups in the space of education to help them grow.
Jain is known to have an MBA degree from the University of California at Berkeley’s Walter A. Haas School of Business and B. Tech degree from IIT, Delhi, India.
