Shardans can now add wings to their start-up dreams, as Sharda University unveils its Entrepreneurship Club

Aims to promote entrepreneurial skills amongst students and develop future business leaders

Underlining its commitment to inculcate leadership skills in young minds, Sharda University, a high-quality educational institution that mainly focuses on holistic learning and imbibing competitive abilities in students, has announced the launch of a new Entrepreneurship Club. Envisioned as a platform for Shardans who dream of making it big in the world of new-age start-ups, the club will provide students with the necessary tools to develop their entrepreneurial skills through innovative and interactive methods of practical training.

The newly launched club aims to help students develop their leadership skills and provide mentoring them to develop   fresh ideas. Membership to the club will be voluntary and can be availed by both the faculty members and students from all the schools under the University. Students will be exposed to various aspects of heading a business venture such as conceiving a project idea, marketing, production, finance, employing human resources, overall management, etc. Students will be made to take strategic decisions, brave new challenges, explain the preparation of project report and calculate break-even level of production along with arranging finances.

Commenting on the initiative, Dr. Mridul Dharwal, Associate Professor, Sharda University said, “With a booming start-up ecosystem in the country, there is heightened interest in the field of entrepreneurship education. What better way could there be than providing hands-on experience to students belonging to an increasingly global generation. By giving students and faculty members an opportunity to be a part of the club, we offer   a vision to create a platform to discover their skills and attributes. At Sharda University, we have always encouraged students to chase their dreams. And the newly launched Entrepreneurship Club will help diligent minds learn through real-world problems and practical experiences and further develop their knowledge and skills to become successful entrepreneurs.”

The Entrepreneurship Club is yet another initiative by Sharda University to emphasize its commitment to promote experiential learning for its students. The club solicits participation of faculty members from all the schools of Sharda university . The club aims to arrange several workshops by inviting entrepreneurs, bankers, venture capitalists, with whom the students will be given a chance to interact directly.
